Dr. Linda Vakunta is a local UW-Madison alum who serves as the deputy mayor of Madison. She holds three degrees from UW including:

  • Undergraduate degree in Psychology

  • Master of Arts (M.A.) in Rehabilitation Psychology

  • PhD in Environment and Resource

She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and her interests include: Environmental Psychology, Perceptions, Futures, Sustainability (Behavior, Attitudes and values), Global Health, School-community-university partnerships, Africa. Dr. Vakunta will be speaking about her journey from her time as a Badger here on campus to where she is now as a civic leader in the city, philanthropic work that is close to her heart, and more!
